Local Book Lovers will join us for a Book Slam Mix + Mingle at our *NEW* New Book Joy Booktique in Brookfield every other month! Bring your own book to share a special read-aloud excerpt with the group (briefly describe the story and why it moves you - any emotion!) and listen to others read their favorite passages aloud too. We'll have book recommendations for every type of reader, featuring a variety of genres (including YA!) and subjects so you will go home with some spectacular stories on your TBR list! Our in-store events are ALWAYS BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGE, so feel free to bring some sips to enjoy while you swap as well (we'll have a few mocktails / NA options available for sale, but encourage attendees to bring their favorites too)... SWEET 'N SALTY SNACKS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE before or during the event!
